Sony connects cameras to the cloud through a mobile connection

Sony is launching C3 Portal, a new solution that allows two-way communication and exchange of data between in the field cameras and production floors. It connects cameras to the cloud through a fast and stable transfer using a mobile connection, allowing users to share and set metadata and data remotely. C3 Portal stands for Camera-Connect-Cloud Portal and it allows operators to send files from location to the edit suite by simple and quick steps via a dedicated Android OS and iOS mobile application.

     
     
 
NAB Show October 2021 has been canceled

Unfortunately, Covid is claiming another victim: NAB 2021. This doesn’t come as a surprise with the big three Japanese companies and Blackmagic Design not attending.

     
     
 
AJA Releases BRIDGE LIVE v1.12 with New NDI and HLS Compatibility

AJA Video Systems released BRIDGE LIVE v1.12, a new software update for AJA’s turnkey multi-channel live video solution for remote production, contribution, collaboration, streaming, and delivery. The release features bi-directional NDI (Network Device Interface) input, output and transcode; HLS output; video preview; and user interface updates for more intuitive configuration.

     
     
 
Panasonic also withdraws from NAB 2021

Last week Sony announced they would not be attending NAB 2021, and as predicted the others would follow suit. Panasonic make a decision withdraws from NAB 2021 too. This leaves Canon and Blackmagic Design the last of the big camera manufacturers to announce their departure from the trade show.

Sony withdraws from in-person participation at 2021 NAB Show

Worries about the ongoing spread of Covid-19 cases have prompted Sony Electronics to announce that it has withdrawn from in-person participation at trade shows in October, including the NAB Show and InfoComm. Sony will, however, be hosting a virtual press conference at the NAB Show in conjunction with the NAB prior to the show’s opening on Sunday, October 10 at 9am PT/12pm ET/6pm CEST.

Panasonic has announced that Gateway Studios & Production Services has made a major investment in Panasonic 4K studio and PTZ cameras and the Tecnopoint camera Dolly and Totem systems. Gravity Media and V8 Supercars Score Another First with FUJINON 4K lenses

In the not-too-distant past Gravity Media and V8 Supercars scored an Australian broadcast first when a Bathurst 1000 race became a full live 4K production, making it the first sport in Australia to be televised at the ultra-high resolution. The production involved 28 native 4K cameras deployed around the track and predominantly FUJINON 4K lenses. Recently Gravity Media scored another first as they used the first FUJINON UA125 4K lens in Australia for a V8 Supercars race in Darwin.
