Autoscript has launched Intelligent Prompting – claimed to be the broadcast industry’s “first” completely IP-enabled teleprompting solution. The new product debuted at NAB 2017, where Autoscript showcased Intelligent Prompting in an end-to-end teleprompting workflow designed to deliver the connectivity, flexibility, ease of use, and reliability critical for modern broadcast operations.

At NAB 2017, Panasonic announced the roadmap to update and add features to the VariCam LT. The company plans to add 2K RAW output up to 240fps in a free firmware update to the VariCam LT 4K cinema camcorder. The 2K raw signal will be supported by Convergent Design. Convergent Design plans to release their firmware updates in June 2017.

At NAB 2017, Thales Angénieux unveiled its complete Optimo, Optimo Style (including a new lens) and Type EZ Series range of lenses , in both Spherical and Anamorphic. Featuring unmistakable performance and unique characteristics, the comprehensive lens exhibit allowed visitors to see and experience the industry’s leading zoom lenses.

ATEME announced that AMC Networks International Central Europe, a subsidiary of AMC Networks, has selected the ATEME TITAN transcoding solution to improve video quality and optimize connectivity between their video headend and service providers carrying AMC channels. AMC Networks International CE has also deployed the ATEME Kyrion encoder and decoder to set up a contribution link between Prague and Budapest.

Litepanels, a pioneer in LED lighting for the film, photographic, and broadcast industries, announced significant upgrades to its professional LED lighting range. Building on the quality and popularity of the innovative Astra 1x1 panel, the next-generation Litepanels Astra 3X and 6X LED panels now feature a significant increase in output and yet a decrease in power consumption. In addition, the daylight-balanced Sola 4+ and Sola 6+ Fresnel lights incorporate new highly rated LEDs that produce greater output than their predecessors.

Postium have added two new native 4K and Ultra HD HDR LCD professional monitors to their Postium OBM monitor lineup. The two new monitors are the OBM-U310 and OBM-U550. The OBM-U310 is a 31” native 4K (4096 x 2160) 10-Bit HDR LCD professional monitor and the OBM-U550 is a 55” native Ultra HD 4K HDR professional monitor. The monitors join the already previously announced OBM-U170 and OBM-U240 monitors in the series.

Canon unveiled the newest member to the 4K Super 35mm Lens Category. Compact-Servo 70-200mm telephoto zoom lens is compact and lightweight helping to ensure outstanding mobility.

Sound Devices introduced the MD-4 Analog-to-Dante Audio Interface at NAB Show 2017. The MD-4 is a simple, high-performance interface that connects analog audio to Dante™ audio networks. It offers four high-gain microphone or line-level inputs and four balanced analog outputs. Inputs or outputs can be routed to either headphone jack (front or back panel) for signal monitoring, with LED metering.

The Zeiss CP.3 and CP.3 XD range of lenses have just been announced at NAB, and offer a variety of focal lengths ranging from 15mm to 135mm. T-stops have been made more consistent throughout the range, offering T2.9 from 15 to 21mm and T2.1 from 25 to 135mm. All focal lengths now also cover full frame sensors (the 18mm CP.2 does not).

LYNX Technik AG, provider of modular interfaces for broadcast and professional AV signal processing applications, announced greenMachine titan, a new hardware component of the greenMachine solution, compatible with all existing greenMachine APPs available on the greenStore™. Titan will be shipping in July 2017.
