Taiwan’s First 24-Hour News Network Selects TVU Networks to Expand Mobile IP Video Transmission Capabilities

TVU Networks, the global technology leader in live IP video solutions, today announced that Television Broadcasts Satellite (TVBS), the first 24-hour news network in Taiwan, is expanding their TVU Networks suite of IP-based live video broadcast solutions by deploying multiple units of TVU One, TVU’s newest, ultra-compact mobile transmitter and TVU Anywhere, TVU’s smartphone-based app which broadcasts live from a mobile device with the push of a button.

     
     
 
Panasonic Ships DVX200 4K Camera

Panasonic's new sub-$5,000 4K MFT camera, the AG-DVX200, has begun shipping. The first DVX200 left the company's Okayama factory on September 25, according to a blog post by Panasonic Professional Imaging Director Kunihiko Miyagi, and the cameras started showing up at resellers this week.

     
     
 
Video Devices adds LUT support to PIX-E recorders with firmware update

Video Devices have released updated v1.05 firmware for their Pix-E line of 5″ monitor / recorders which adds support for LUTs, and also enables Panasonic cameras (like the GH4, for example) to start or stop recording over HDMI. The firmware includes several LUTs as standard and will allow users to import new ones via SD card.

     
     
 
IBC 2015: FOR-A debuted new control panel of HVS-2000 vision mixer

At the IBC Show 2015 FOR-A introduced a new control panel for its HVS-2000 vision mixer and GearLink total control software. First introduced at last year’s IBC Show, the HVS-2000 is the newest in FOR-A’s successful line of HANABI switchers. Sony announces version 7 firmware for the F5 and F55

Sony have just announced the new features that will be included in Version 7 firmware for the F5 and F55. One of the biggest gripes owners of the cameras had was with the menu system, and although they did make some changes in earlier firmware, it still left a lot to be desired. Sony have obviously been listening to their customers and added a Quick Menu function, which will allow you to change key settings on the cameras sub display instead of having to go into the main menus. They have also added Rec.2020, the standard for 4K Ultra HD, as well as expanded options for simultaneous recording.

     
     
 
Panasonic Announces Pricing And Availability For AJ-PX380 AVC-ULTRA Shoulder-Mount Camcorder

Panasonic announced that at the end of September it will begin shipping the AJ-PX380 1/3-inch 2.2M 3MOS AVC-ULTRA shoulder-mount camcorder, which offers powerful IT/wireless connectivity capabilities and dual codec recording for simultaneous high resolution and proxy image capture. The new shoulder-mount camcorder will be available in two versions: the AJ-PX380GF including camera body plus AG-CVF15 Color Viewfinder and XT17x4.5 BRM 17X Fujinon lens; and the AJ-PX380G-camera-body only.

Evertz and TSL link up with Calrec Audio's Hydra2

Following the launch of Calrec's Hydra2 interface card at the 2015 NAB Show, where it was introduced as part of DiGiCo's Orange Box development, Calrec announces that the technology has been adopted in third-party products from elsewhere in the broadcast community. Both Evertz and TSL Products unveiled the Hydra2 interface cards at IBC2015.

     
     
 
LYNX Technik Launches yellobrik 3G Quad-Split at IBC 2015

LYNX Technik AG, provider of modular interfaces, announces the introduction of a new SDI Quad-Split yellobrik at IBC 2015. The new Quad-Split yellobrik (model: PMV 1841) is a compact, portable quad-split processor that supports the display of 4x 3G/HD/SDI-SDI inputs on a single HDMI display. In addition to its quad-split capabilities, this new unit includes an integrated 4K down converter, for applications that require 4K (12G, quad-link) HDMI monitoring.
