SMPTE Suspends Russian Chapter

IABM (The International Trade Association for Broadcast & Media technology) stands with many in deploring the unjustifiable and brutal invasion of Ukraine by Russia. Alongside his ruthless military assault, Putin is employing media technology to support his disinformation campaign while silencing those who would tell the truth. Cinegy: “These people are not just members of staff to us”

“These people are not just members of staff to us , they’re family.” Cinegy's Daniella Weigner talks about the company's mission to rescue a third of its Ukraine-based staff. When Russia invaded Ukraine, the management team at Cinegy decided to drive 3,000 kilometre to bring members of the team and their families back to Munich. NBC Sports Utilizes Calrec Audio Workflows For Its Production Of Olympic Winter Games

For the first time ever, NBC Sports will employ fully remote audio workflows for all its production of the Winter Games, with no audio consoles physically on-site at the event. NBC Sports will have four Calrec RP1 Remote Production cores in the International Broadcast Center (IBC) in Beijing to cover numerous studios. Full control for the IBC remote production cores will be provided on Artemis consoles based at NBC Sports’ International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.

     
     
 
Cinegy provides backbone for Telstra’s playout service

Telstra Broadcast Services has signed a deal with Cinegy to employ the company’s products, including Cinegy Air, as the backbone of its playout service offering. The company is adding new playout capabilities to its existing global fibre and satellite networks, which will run on Cinegy’s software models.

NDI Makes Available New NDI|HX3 For Developers, Manufacturers

NDI, part of the Vizrt Group, has announced the availability of its new NDI|HX3, which allows users of NDI|HX3-enabled device to select the latest NDI version for better video and reduced latency while using a fraction of NDI high bandwidth. NDI|HX3 gives manufacturers and developers a way to add greater flexibility without a change or upgrade of hardware, the company said.

     
     
 
AJA Video Unveils Mini-Config v2.26.3 Software Update

AJA Video Systems has released a free Mini-Config v2.26.3 software update offering new functions, such as basic HDR metadata pass-through, for select models. The software update also offers dual-link capabilities and Dolby audio support for certain models.
