BirdDog announces PLAY, Cloud Connect & adds support for NDI 5

BirdDog has announced support for NDI 5 which was just announced across all BirdDog hardware products as well as introducing two new products PLAY and Cloud Connect.

     
     
 
NDI has unveiled NDI version 5.

NDI has announced NDI version 5. The new update will make it possible to connect to any device, in any location, anywhere in the world – allowing it to work with almost any video application in the world. Physical studios can connect to ones in the cloud and remote video production effectively becomes local.

     
     
 
MediaHub Expands Comms With RTS

MediaHub utilised the RTS Voice Over Network (RVON) technology to interconnect talkback services across multiple sites and clients to MediaHub Australia. Before the pandemic, MediaHub had been looking into replacements for the existing RTS Cronus system with Magna and had identified RTS Odin as a product which allowed a migration of on-air comms from the Cronus to the IP-based Odin. This replacement was earmarked for 2020-21, but needed to be accelerated due to Covid.

     
     
 
New Nine Network Studios Feature Sony Cameras

For one of the most ambitious engineering projects in its history, Australian broadcaster Nine Network deployed a variety of Sony cameras and technologies for its recently opened new studio and headquarters in North Sydney, Australia. IBC 2021 confirmed for December 3rd in Amsterdam

IBC has confirmed the return of the event after the pandemic for December 3rd in Amsterdam. The exhibition and conferences will take place in the RAI venue of the Dutch capital during three days. The partnership board of IBC has decided to move the event from the usual dates in September, due to assure the celebration of the show, as the vaccination process continues to advance.
