FUJINON 4K Ultra HD Series Now Being Delivered

Introduced in April during the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention in April, the Optical Devices Division of FUJIFILM North America Corporation has announced that the first two lenses in its 4K Ultra HD Series for sports and entertainment applications are available for delivery. The UA22x8 is the first portable zoom lens in the series, and the new UA80X9 is the first field lens.

     
     
 
4K RAW at 120FPS- Panasonic releases firmware version 4.0 for VariCam 35/HS

Panasonic has announced a free firmware upgrade for the VariCam 35 4K and VariCam HS camera/recorders that expands recording options and allows for a more flexible post-production workflow scenarios. New features include uncompressed RAW capture for the VariCam 35 with the new Codex V-RAW recorder, support for the Apple ProRes 4444 codec in both the VariCam 35 and VariCam HS, and anamorphic lens support for the VariCam 35.
