PRO TV Invests In Sony's New HDC-3500 Live Production Camera

PRO TV has invested in eight HDC-3500 camera chains that will be used for live entertainment and sports productions, working with HDCU-3100, the IP enabled Camera Control Unit. Sportcast Uses Dalet to Log and Enhance Video for Bundesliga's Archive

Sportcast, a company of Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL), operates one of the largest digital football archives in the world. Producing the 617 matches every season of the German Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 for DFL, Sportcast manages the team's entire media value chain from the stadium to their fans around the world. Sound Devices updated firmware for the MixPre series to v3.00

Sound Devices has introduced a v3.00 firmware update for the MixPre series of audio recorders, mixers, and USB audio interfaces. MixPre v3.00 adds the following features and enhancements: support for third-party USB control surfaces, Ambisonic and binaural recording, monitoring, and playback for the MixPre-6 and MixPre-10T, pre-roll buffer for the MixPre-3, MixPre-6, and MixPre-10T, wireless control and metering for MixPre-M models from iOS and Android devices, ASIO drivers for MixPre-M models.

     
     
 
Future Trading Uses TVU One

TVU Networks solutions were helped Future Trading to remotely control the live streaming of the recent 2nd Teqball World Cup that took place on 12th – 13th of October 2018, attracting around 3,000 fans to the stadium in Reims to watch 91 players from 42 countries take part. Future Trading used TVU One to broadcast the competition, reaching to over 315,000 online viewers to date via a dedicated Facebook page.

     
     
 
Telia Selects ATEME to Power its Next Generation OTT Offering in Estonia

Eutelsat delivers live images for NHK's new 8K channel

Eutelsat 12 West B was used to broadcast live images back from the Vatican for new channel BS8K. A mobile uplink provided by M-three Satcom. NHK relied on DVB-S2X modulation, in 16APSK, and HEVC encoding. The images (7680 pixels over 4320 lines - some 33.3 million pixels per image) were shot at 60 frames per second in BT2020 colour space, with 10 bits of colour depth (1 billion colours) and high dynamic range HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), combined with 22.2 channel audio.
