Sony Expands High Speed Storage Lineup with Enhanced Hard Disk Drives

Sonys newest hard disk drives expand its growing line of portable storage choices, delivering faster speeds, greater connectivity, increased reliability and enhanced durability. Lithuanias National Opera relies on AEQ for its latest digital update

Back in 2016, Lithuanias National Opera technical management decided to carry out a complex and ambitious technical renovation of the installations. AEQ CONEXIA intercom system was selected to implement the main internal intercom system of the building and KROMA BY AEQ monitors were chosen to be part of the new central control room design.

     
     
 
Panasonic previews compact 5.7K Super 35mm cinema camera

Panasonic has previewed the AU-EVA1, at Cine Gear Expo 2017 in Los Angeles, USA, a new 5.7K cinema camera positioned between the Panasonic Lumix GH5 4K mirrorless camera and the VariCam LT 4K cinema camera. Compact and lightweight, the AU-EVA1 is tailor-made for handheld shooting, but also well suited for documentaries, commercials, and music videos.

     
     
 
La La Land sound mixer Steve A. Morrow uses Phonaks earpieces

Phonaks ultra-discreet in-ear monitors helped the makers of multi-Oscar-winning La La Land weave its stunning soundtrack deep into the film, according to its sound mixer Steve A. Morrow. Morrow, along with colleagues Andy Nelson and Ai-Ling Lee, picked up nominations for the Oscar, Bafta, Cinema Audio Society and Satellite awards for sound mixing in La La Land.

     
     
 
Sony announces plans for next-generation CineAlta camera at Cine Gear Expo

This year, at Cine Gear Expo, Sony announced plans for its next-generation CineAlta digital motion picture camera system. This latest addition to the CineAlta family is being developed through careful research and close collaboration with creative professionals including Directors, Cinematographers and Digital Imaging Technicians. The next-generation CineAlta, from Sony, will be a 36x24mm full frame camera, aspect ratio-agnostic, designed in collaboration with industry professionals.

     
     
 
ES Broadcast Hire invests in EVS XT4K servers

The XT4K, EVS first dedicated UHD-4K live production server, will be added to ES Broadcast Hires already-extensive UHD hire fleet and joins the companys other EVS solutions, which include XHub3 network hubs and XFile3 file transfer and archiving solution alongside multiple EVS XT3 live production servers. Some of ES Broadcast Hires servers are configured in ChannelMAX, which lets users easily expand the channel density of their XT3s when needed.

     
     
 
Use 3Play to Time-Shift for Multi-Track Live Events

Djundi Karjadi, owner of Interindo Multimedia PT, is the Technical Director for Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival, an annual event featuring dozens of the worlds top jazz artists and a lot of local talent. Mexico's Televisa Networks Deploys SAM

Mexican broadcaster Televisa Networks, a dedicated Snell Advanced Media customer for over 20 years, has purchased SAMs ICE Channel-in-a-Box solution along with Morpheus automation, a Sirius 850 router, SAMs Rollmap infrastructure management system and IQ Modular infrastructure to add 37 channels of programming to its already robust lineup.
