COPE Uses AEQ Gear to Maintain Broadcasts

National Spanish broadcaster COPE is making use of AEQ Alio audio codecs to maintain its programming during the COVID-19 crisis. COPE’s correspondents have been using the portable codecs for years and have gradually increased the number of units they own. According to AEQ, today COPE’s team operates nearly 200 Alio audio codecs. The fact that the broadcaster already owned so many AEQ codecs for remote broadcasting has been helpful during this health crisis, says AEQ.

Germany’s Bundesliga looks to produce 170+ matches in 4K UHD

As part of its forthcoming Bundesliga broadcast rights tender process, the German Football League has revealed plans to produce 176 matches per season in 4K UHD. The DFL said as well as producing matches in 4K UHD, it also intends for Sportcast, its in-house production company, to use 26 cameras at each match, including aerial camera systems, drones and corner flag cameras.
