150 cameras and 19 outside broadcast operations: BBC unveiled broadcasting process for the Coronation

The BBC used a total of 150 cameras across 17 locations providing coverage along the Ceremonial route, in the Abbey, for the Coronation Concert and in both of its temporary studios in London and Windsor – as well as the ten sites for Lighting Up The Nation (including Blackpool, Sheffield, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Gateshead, Cornwall and Belfast).

     
     
 
AEQ TALENT and ALIO Audiocodecs successfully tested with Starlink

AEQ has successfully completed compatibility tests of TALENT and ALIO Audiocodecs with Starlink. EVS updates slo-mo solution to go faster

EVS has launched XtraMotion 2.0, an updated version of its super slow-motion service that can now be deployed on-prem, reducing turnaround time to approximately five seconds. ENCO is introducing a new ChatGPT-inspired solutions, ENCO-GPT, which uses the chatbot to generate language responses from text-based queries added to automated TV production workflows. AJA Releases ColorBox v2.0

AJA Video Systems rolled out v2.0 firmware for ColorBox, its compact, high-performance converter for color-managed workflows. The update introduces an add-on license to expand ColorBox’s Colorfront Engine video processing options with all-new TV Mode and Live Mode. Along with adding support for the latest v1.6 BBC HLG LUTs, the release also boasts an ORION-CONVERT update with a gamma compensation function to ensure compatibility between different color conversion philosophies.

     
     
 
Panasonic: new firmware for HC-X camcorders

Panasonic announced firmware updates for the HC-X2, HC-X20, HC-X2000, and HC-X1500 camcorders. Support background recording and super slow-motion recording in the MP4 file and face detection/tracking AE&AF function when shooting in manual mode are some of the updates for the HC-X camcorders.
