AJ-PX500 camcorder by Panasonic

Panasonic have introduced the AJ-PX5000G, the first P2 HD camcorder with native AVC-ULTRA recording and built-in microP2 card slots. This 2/3-type, 2.2M 3-MOS camera combines superb image production and light weight. The AJ-PX5000G features 720p and 1080i recording, as well as 1080/50p recording, a first for P2 HD cameras.

Sony unveils enhanced HD live production solutions at IBC2013

Sony announced a new set of HD live production solutions consisting of four new studio cameras, the HSC-300R/300RF and HSC-100R/100RF plus the MVS-3000A multi-format switcher, at IBC2013. The new additions build on the strengths of Sony’s existing HSC-300 and HXC-100 system cameras, incorporating the latest generation of 2/3-inch Power HAD FX CCDs for high quality image capture with minimal noise.

     
     
 
XenData showed new archive solutions at IBC2013

BTV Post Completes Successful Beta Test of Snell Alchemist OD for HD, 2K, and 4K Conversions

Snell partner BTV Post has completed the world's first successful conversions of low-frame-rate video in a beta test of Alchemist OD, the new software-only version of Snell's acclaimed Alchemist Ph.C-HD standards converter. BTV Post conducted tests on a variety of challenging and complex material and applied Alchemist OD to convert the footage from 25Hz to Digital Cinema 24Hz.

Sony launches professional PXW-Z100 4K XDCAM camcorder

Sony announced the PXW-Z100, a professional 4K handheld XDCAM camcorder featuring a 1/2.33″ Exmor R CMOS sensor. The sensor has total of 16 million pixels and is able to acquire stunning 4K content (4096×2160) at 50p or 60p.
