Sony has announced a number of firmware updates on the PXW-X200, PXW-Z90 and HXR-NX80. These camcorders are very popular and the free updates bring a variety of benefits to operational functions and network improvements.
   

PXW-X200

New System firmware V.2.60 & Network firmware V.3.22

Note: Update the camcorder system software first, and then update the network function software.

Improved Functions:

• New function with the network client mode
• High quality streaming up to 10 Mbps is now supported. (Depending on the scene, it may exceed 10Mbps.)
• Benefits: Faster and high quality streaming allows you to focus on the story, save time and cut costs.

PXW-Z90

Improved Functions:

• Support for TLS 1.2 Ustream
• Support for TLS 1.2 was added to coincide with Ustream (IBM Cloud Video)’s update from TLS 1.0/1.1 to TLS 1.2
• Benefits: Easy connection to USTREAM
• Improve STEADY SHOT function
• Improves the shooting stability of the steady shot in high frame rate shooting
• Benefits: Better picture quality, comfortable shooting

HXR-NX80

Improved Functions:

• Support for TLS 1.2 was added to coincide with Ustream (IBM Cloud Video)’s update from TLS 1.0/1.1 to TLS 1.2

• Benefits: Better picture quality, comfortable shooting
